The Prayer Board is a kanban-style view for your prayer life. Each prayer lives as a card you can drag between four columns — tracking a request from the moment it lands on your heart all the way through to how God answered it. Everything is personal and private to your account.

The four columns

Active

Prayers you’re actively bringing before God right now. New prayers always start here.

Waiting

Requests you’ve prayed through and are now holding in patient trust. God’s timing, not yours.

Answered

Prayers God has answered. Moving a request here is an act of praise and remembrance.

Ongoing

Prayers that are continuous — for a person, a community, a calling — where there’s no single moment of resolution.

Adding a prayer

1

Open the Prayer Board

Navigate to Prayer in the sidebar.
2

Open the add form

Click + Add Prayer in the top-right corner, or press N on your keyboard to open the input instantly.
3

Write your prayer

Type what you’d like to pray for (up to 500 characters). Press Enter or click Add to save. The prayer lands in your Active column.
Pressing N opens the add form from anywhere on the Prayer Board page — even if your hands are already on the keyboard.

Moving prayers between columns

On desktop, drag a prayer card and drop it onto any column to move it. The column highlights as you hover over it so you can see where it will land. You can also hover a card to reveal quick-move buttons. Click any column name to move the prayer there without dragging.

Editing a prayer title

Click directly on the title text of any prayer card to edit it inline. Press Enter to save, or Escape to cancel and revert to the original title.

Saving a prayer from the Companion

If you share something you’re praying about in the Companion, it can save the prayer directly to your board. You don’t need to navigate away from your conversation.
When the Companion saves a prayer for you, it creates a meaningful title from what you said and places the prayer in Active. You can edit the title or move it at any time.
You can also ask the Companion to update a prayer’s status — for example, tell it “that prayer was answered” and it will move the card to Answered for you.

On mobile

On smaller screens the board shows one column at a time. Use the tab row at the top — Active, Waiting, Answered, Ongoing — to switch between columns. Each tab shows a count of prayers in that column.
To add a prayer on mobile, tap + Add Prayer at the top of the page. The N keyboard shortcut works on any hardware keyboard connected to your device.
